Der Großteil der Rettungs- und Feuerwehraufgaben wurde während der Kriegsjahre von Frauen erledigt, da zum Beispiel am 10.01.1943 von gemeldeten 94 Mitgliedern 12 Mann eingerückt und 44 zum Notdienst verpflichtet waren.
