Probably the most spectacular operation of the fire brigade in recent years occurred on 18 June 1991, when a truck raced through the village without braking and involved 3 cars in a serious accident. Three people had to be rescued and taken to Leoben Regional Hospital with indeterminate injuries. In addition to the severely damaged vehicles, several buildings along the B115 were visible signs of this terrible event for some time.
