Rudolf Neykauf was elected to the position of 1st Captain.

On 2 May 1882, not only buildings but above all human lives had to be saved when the workers' barracks caught fire. These barracks were located above the ore roasting plant, nearly the church of Laurenti and the houses of the beneficants.
